Property disputes
- We have been involved in a number of contested lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 as well as regularly dealing with the full range of commercial landlord and tenant disputes such as dilapidations, forfeiture issues and disputes regarding notices.
- Representing a buyer who successfully rescinded a contract for the purchase of a house after discovering that the seller had failed to disclose material information.
- Extensive experience in dealing with disputes in courts, before the Land Registry Adjudicator and also Lands Valuation Tribunal relating to land, rights of way, restrictive covenants and other rights over or affecting land.
- Acting for a retailer in recovering £100k damages resulting from fire after the landlord had negligently allowed uninsured and unsafe working practices by workmen repairing the roof.
