Catherine trained as a solicitor with Irish firm Kieran McCarthy & Co in Cork. Following qualification in 2002 she specialised in property law, gaining wide experience in the commercial property sphere at the height of Ireland’s ‘Celtic Tiger’ economy.
She advised foreign, national and local companies on the acquisition, financing and disposal of business property including industrial, retail, agricultural and development land, while also undertaking landlord and tenant work, with a particular emphasis on the drafting, negotiation and renewal of commercial leases for premises as diverse as pubs and petrol stations.
She also acted for individuals and partnerships on the expansion of investment property portfolios of both a residential and commercial nature.
Catherine joined Darwin Gray following her move to Cardiff in September, 2007 and now works in the commercial property team. She specialises in commercial property development, investment sales and purchases and commercial leases
