Damian specialised in commercial litigation for the first 4 years of his career before moving into employment law. In 2002 he joined the employment team at Lyons Davidson’s Bristol office, then Hugh James where he spent 6 years, latterly as a senior associate.
Damian joined Darwin Gray as a partner in March 2009.
He advises employers and senior executives on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues and has rounded experience in all aspects, from unfair dismissal and discrimination to industrial relations and transfer of undertakings. Damian also regularly drafts and advises on company policies, procedures and employee contracts and service agreements.
An experienced advocate, Damian represents clients at tribunal and at regulatory hearings and presents training courses on a range of employment law topics. He has made a number of appearances in Radio Wales’ legal discussions and is a regular contributor to employment law articles and bulletins.

Advocacy at Employment Tribunals: discrimination claims, unfair and wrongful dismissal claims, protected disclosures, working time issues and unlawful deduction of wages
Representing the General Teaching Council for Wales as the Presenting Officer in professional conduct and suitability proceedings
