Owen joined Darwin Gray in September 2008. He qualified as a solicitor in 2010, became an Associate in April 2014 and was promoted to Senior Associate in April 2016.
Owen works in our Employment and HR team and advises employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
He has extensive experience in all areas of employment law, including business reorganisations, TUPE transfers, unfair dismissal, breach of contract, and discrimination claims. Owen regularly advises on employment contracts, company policies and settlement agreements, and is experienced in delivering training courses.
Additionally, Owen advises clients as part of our Sport team. He has advised a number of high-profile international football and rugby players, coaches and administrators in relation to their employment contracts, transfer of employment and termination of employment.
Owen is also registered with the Football Association of Wales to act as an agent for football players in the UK and abroad and is experienced in advising executives and senior individuals at major sporting organisations.
A fluent Welsh speaker, Owen co - founded Cyfreithwyr.com, a first-of-its kind Welsh language legal service in March 2015.
Owen regularly appears on national television, radio, and in print in both English and Welsh, commenting on employment law, HR and sport.

Owen enjoys playing and watching sport, particularly football, cycling, and golf. He also runs marathons and has successfully completed marathons in Snowdonia, Paris and Dublin.
