Environmental
Arena Network, part of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard conducted an environmental audit in September 2007. We were considered to have a low environmental impact and were commended on our commitment to introduce an environment management system.
Our environment management system involves the following:
Paper: Via SES Recycling we shred and recycle all office paper and cardboard. We also utilise old office paper by recycling them into internal scrap notepads.
When purchasing paper, where possible we use either fully or partly recycled paper for copiers and printers.
We are also moving towards reducing the use of paper in the office by utilising electronic storage.
Hardware: Via I-Tel Laser Supplies we recycle all our empty toners and they in turn donate a percentage of recycled toners to various charities.
Old office/personal mobile phones and accessories are posted to The National Autistic Society for recycling; all proceeds go direct towards helping people with Autism.
Energy use: We have also arranged for the Carbon Trust to send stickers and posters for us to put up around the office asking staff to save energy by switching off light switches, computers etc and also informing them how much energy is used when certain electrical products are left on overnight.
