We are also pleased to announce the expansion of our HR department with the promotion of Danielle Boucher. Danielle previously worked on reception. Having shown a keen interest in developing her skills and learning a new discipline, it was an easy decision to appoint her as an HR Assistant to our Consultant, Fiona Sinclair. Danielle is currently undertaking her CIPD course at Cardiff and Vale College, which she is due to complete in May 2015.
In May this year we were pleased to welcome Ashley Coleman as our new receptionist. He came to us on a placement via ACT Training, where he was part of their Pre-Apprenticeship Academy. He was nominated by ACT for the National Training Federation Wales Apprenticeship Awards Cymru 2014, in recognition of the quality of his work there as well as here at Darwin Gray. The prestigious ceremony was held at the Celtic Manor on 31st October, with Ashley named Traineeship Learner of the Year which is a fantastic achievement – congratulations Ashley!
In sporting news, Gareth Wedge (Associate in our Commercial Property department) and Damian Phillips (Partner in our Employment Team) took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October. They both completed it in excellent times with Damian achieving a personal best! Owen John, (Associate in our Employment Team) also completed The Dublin in a fantastic time of under 3.5 hours at the end of October. Last but not least, not only has Owen been busy training for the marathon, he also got married last month, congratulations to Owen and his new wife, Lois!
