Encouraging Women Into Franchising

EWIF logo_2018.jpg

Darwin Gray is a member of EWIF. Our Managing Partner, Stephen Thompson is the chair of EWIF's newly amalgamated South West and Wales region. We are delighted to continue supporting EWIF, both as a regional chair and as EWIF annual awards sponsors (2016-2018 awards).

As a firm, we support EWIF’s encouragement of women in franchising. We meet many entrepreneurs who wish to establish new businesses as franchises, or convert an existing business into a franchise network. Many of the business people we meet are women. It is therefore with great pleasure that we are involved with these awards.

Darwin Gray sponsors and is actively involved with several charities and community services in and around Cardiff. We think it is important to give back to our community. These are some of the organisations we support:

Touch Trust

Working with individuals in the disabled community and using music, colour, scent and touch based programmes, Touch Trust increases happiness through developing communication, social skills and relaxation techniques. It also improves health and wellbeing.  Its programme takes a holistic approach, with a focus on sensory and expressive experiences that is accessible to everyone, both able-bodied and disabled. Further information on the work of the Trust can be found on  www.touchtrust.co.uk

Valleys Kids

Darwin Gray supports Valleys Kids, a charity working with disadvantaged children and their families in South Wales. We are a member of their corporate support programme, Kids Count, and provide regular pro bono legal advice. We are particularly proud of our work on the acquisition of Soar Chapel by Valleys Kids. After four years of fundraising and a year of renovations, this building is now the Valleys Kids’ Soar Centre, a wonderful and versatile community centre serving the needs of the people of the Rhondda. Sinfonia Cymru

Darwin Gray is proud to support one of Wales’s finest orchestras, Sinfonia Cymru.  The Orchestra is a young and highly innovative chamber orchestra, regularly performing with big names such as Bryn Terfel, Catrin Finch, and Llŷr Williams.  Partner Kempton Rees is a Trustee of the Orchestra.  You can find out more about the Orchestra’s work and where to see them perform at www.sinfoniacymru.co.uk
