Looking for commercial solicitors in Bangor who can work fluently in Welsh or English, understand North Wales business inside out, and actually pick up the phone when you call? Croeso. We’re Darwin Gray, based at Parc Menai, and we’re Wales’ leading Welsh language commercial law firm.
Call us on 01248 301 100 for a free, no-obligation chat or use our Contact us form.
North Wales needs its own commercial law firm. Not a satellite office that sends instructions back to Cardiff or Manchester, and not a high street firm that doesn’t quite do commercial work. Somewhere that knows Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and the wider region, understands the sectors that drive the local economy, and can handle matters in Welsh as a default, not an afterthought.
That’s what we’ve built at Parc Menai. Our Bangor office opened in 2022 and has already doubled in size, and over 12% of our firm is now based here. Thirty per cent of our solicitors across Darwin Gray are fluent Welsh speakers. We’re a short drive from Anglesey, just off the A55, and easy to reach from Caernarfon, Llandudno, Conwy and the wider region.
You’ll get the full weight of a leading Welsh commercial law firm, delivered by a team that’s rooted in North Wales. Commercial property, employment, corporate, contracts, disputes. All handled in Welsh or English, whichever works for you.
Ready to talk? Call us on 01248 301 100 for a free, no-obligation chat or use our Contact us form.
We offer the full Darwin Gray service from Parc Menai. Our lawyers work across both offices as your matter needs, but your main point of contact will be based in Bangor and available for face-to-face meetings whenever you need one.
HR issues, grievances, tribunals, settlement agreements, restructuring. Our employment team regularly advises North Wales employers across the public, private and third sectors, and we also act for senior employees and executives. We run the Wales HR Network, which brings HR professionals from across Wales together for practical training and updates.

Please note: we don’t handle family law, criminal law, medical negligence, personal injury, residential conveyancing or legal aid work. If your matter falls into one of those areas, we’re happy to recommend a local firm who can help.
From Parc Menai we look after clients right across North Wales, including:
Gwynedd: Bangor, Caernarfon, Bethesda, Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolgellau, Y Felinheli, Penygroes and the Llŷn Peninsula.
Ynys Môn / Isle of Anglesey: Holyhead, Llangefni, Menai Bridge, Amlwch, Beaumaris and across the island.
Conwy County and beyond: Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Abergele, Betws-y-Coed and the Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park area. We also support clients in Denbighshire, Wrexham and further afield.
Whether you’re an Anglesey manufacturer, a tourism business in Snowdonia, a rural estate in Llŷn, a charity in Caernarfon or a public sector body anywhere in the region, we can help.
We’re the only commercial law firm in Wales offering the full range of legal services in Welsh, from trainees right through to partners. That matters for public sector work, for Welsh-speaking businesses, and for anyone who simply prefers to handle their legal affairs in their first language.
We’ve been reappointed to the Welsh Government Commercial Delivery Framework and the Welsh Language Commissioner legal framework, giving us direct experience of the work that matters most to Welsh public bodies and organisations operating under the Welsh Language Standards.
Our Bangor office opened in 2022 and has already doubled in size. This isn’t a London firm dabbling in the region. Our North Wales team lives and works here, knows the local business community, and understands the sectors that drive it.
You’ll speak to the solicitor handling your matter, not a receptionist or a paralegal. You’ll have their direct number and email. No gatekeepers, no handovers between offices.
When your Bangor matter needs specialist input from Cardiff, whether that’s a niche tax point, a complex tribunal or a major deal, you’ll tap into the full expertise of the firm without paying for two separate law firms. Our lawyers work across both offices as your needs change.

North Wales has a proud and distinct business community. The North Wales Growth Deal is unlocking significant investment across the region.

We’re at Unit F12, InTec, on Ffordd y Parc at Parc Menai business park, just outside Bangor. The full postcode is LL57 4FG. We’re just off the A55 at Junction 9, with free parking on site, and around 15 minutes from the Britannia Bridge if you’re coming from Anglesey.
Gallwch, wrth gwrs. Yes. Roughly 30% of our firm are fluent Welsh speakers, and our Bangor team in particular can handle matters entirely through the medium of Welsh: meetings, documents, correspondence, the lot. Just let us know when you first get in touch and we’ll make sure you’re matched with a Welsh-speaking solicitor.
We work with clients right across North Wales, including Gwynedd, Anglesey (Ynys Môn), Conwy, Snowdonia (Eryri) and into Denbighshire and Wrexham. Our team regularly travels to meet clients in Caernarfon, Llandudno, Holyhead, Pwllheli, Dolgellau and the wider region. If you’d prefer we come to you rather than you travelling to us, just say.
Not unless you want to. Plenty of our North Wales clients prefer phone, video or on-site meetings, especially if they’re on Anglesey, in Snowdonia, or further along the coast. We’re set up for hybrid working, so you’ll get the same quality of advice whether you’re in our boardroom or on a Teams call.
It depends on the work. For some matters we can offer fixed fees, so you know exactly what you’re paying before we start. For other work we’ll agree an hourly rate or a budget upfront. We’re transparent about costs and you’ll always have a clear estimate before any work begins. Your first chat with us is always free and no-obligation.
Yes. We’ve been reappointed to the Welsh Government Commercial Delivery Framework and to the Welsh Language Commissioner legal framework. We regularly advise North Wales public sector bodies, housing associations and third-sector organisations on employment, governance, procurement and commercial matters.
Tourism and hospitality, agriculture, public sector and local government, social housing, higher education, renewable energy, manufacturing, charities and social enterprises, and professional services. We work with businesses of every size, from family-run farms to large Welsh institutions.
We’re a proper North Wales office, with a growing team based permanently at Parc Menai. Our Bangor lawyers handle matters from start to finish, and when a specialist issue calls for extra input from Cardiff, you’ll tap into the full firm without paying for two separate relationships. Over 12% of our solicitors are now based in North Wales, and the office has doubled in size since 2022.
Yes. Give us a ring on 01248 301 100 or fill in our online enquiry form, and we’ll arrange a free, no-obligation chat to talk through your situation and whether we’re the right fit.
Yes, we do this kind of work regularly. Our commercial property team handles deals right across North Wales, and we’re used to the planning and environmental considerations that come with Anglesey, the Snowdonia National Park and the UNESCO-designated slate landscape. We act for buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and developers.
We hope it never comes to that. If you’re unhappy with our service, please tell us so we can put it right. You’ll find our full complaints procedure on our website, and you can also escalate to the Legal Ombudsman if needed. We’re authorised and regulated by the SRA, and you can verify our details on the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor register.
