Owen joined Darwin Gray in 2008, becoming a Partner in April 2019. He is a member of the Employment and HR and Sport teams. Owen has extensive experience in all areas of employment law and advises both employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.

Owen joined Darwin Gray in September 2008. He qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and was subsequently promoted to Senior Associate in 2016. He became a Partner in April 2019.
Owen is a member of the Employment and HR team and advises employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
He has extensive experience in all areas of employment law, including business reorganisations, TUPE transfers, unfair dismissal, breach of contract, and discrimination claims. Owen also regularly advises on employment contracts, company policies, settlement agreements and data protection issues, and has significant experience of delivering training courses in both English and Welsh.
Additionally, Owen advises clients as part of our Sport team. He has advised a number of high-profile international football and rugby players, coaches, administrators and senior executives in relation to their employment contracts, transfer of employment and termination of employment.
A fluent Welsh speaker, Owen co-founded Cyfreithwyr.com, a first-of-its kind Welsh language legal service in March 2015.
Owen regularly appears on national television, radio and in the press commenting on aspects of employment law and HR.

Owen enjoys playing and watching sport, particularly football, cycling, and golf. He also runs marathons and has successfully completed marathons in Snowdonia, Paris and Dublin.
