Kicking off 2027 with the launch of important Governance Wales Conference
November 3, 2026
Building on a successful series of governance conferences held in recent years, Darwin Gray has launched “Governance Wales 2027: Building Stronger Boards for Challenging Times” to kick off the new year.
Taking place on 19 January in Cardiff city centre, the conference will bring together board members, public sector leaders, governance professionals, regulators, and non-executive directors to explore the evolving governance landscape in Wales and the critical role of effective boards in navigating uncertainty.
Key speakers will include David Holdsworth, CEO of the Charity Commission, Dr Lindsay Cordery-Bruce, CEO of WCVA, and Jayne Miller of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
Also speaking will be Robert Barrington, Professor of Anti-Corruption Practice at the University of Sussex. Robert is also the author of the recently published “Corrupted Kingdom: Britain’s Disappearing Integrity”.
With a portfolio of a series of high-profile governance reviews in Wales under her belt, Fflur Jones, Managing Partner at Darwin Gray will also be speaking at the conference.
Fflur said: “It has never been more important that good governance is not only understood but practiced, valued and improved upon. It’s about creating organisations that are resilient, accountable and capable of delivering lasting impact. There is no time like the present for those involved in the governance of their organisations to come together to learn from one and other and from our excellent line up of guest speakers at the conference.”
In addition to keynote presentations, the conference will also provide interactive sessions and workshops, as well as networking opportunities for delegates.
Early bird tickets will be available throughout November.
