Ro has over 5 years’ of experience specialising in commercial disputes and has acted for high-net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, SME’s and public companies across a range of sectors including financial services, technology/fintech, sport, real estate, manufacturing, leisure & hospitality, construction, care and retail. Ro’s experience spans pre-action correspondence and strategy, interim applications, trial, mediation and enforcement with regular appearances in the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Insolvency & Companies List.
- Successfully applied to set aside default judgment for professional services firm with the claim subsequently discontinued.
- Acted for architectural practice in a breach of contract claim (c.£30,000). Negotiated Part 36 settlement resulting in approximately £46,000 recovery including legal costs.
- Represented professional sporting coach in regulatory investigation. Secured withdrawal of interim ban following mediation with no further action taken.
- Acted for director/shareholder in dispute regarding share dilution, valuation and exit. Negotiated commercially favourable exit terms and valuation.
- Acted for financial services company on urgent application to restraint presentation of winding up petition.
- Acted for two former directors in wrongful trading claim by liquidators (claim valued at approximately £448,000 plus costs). Negotiated settlement at £100,000 avoiding > £500,000 exposure.
- Acted for specialist lender enforcing personal guarantees under a loan agreement. Obtained summary judgment for approximately £670,000 plus £80,000 assessed costs and enforced via a charging order over property valued at £2.5m.
- Advised company subject to Community Protection Notice under Anti-social behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Negotiated compliance steps and avoided further action.
